PARK CITY, Utah — This Saturday, March 28, Deer Valley Resort hosts its eighth annual Shred for Red fundraiser benefiting Blood Cancer United, and TownLift has a team on the mountain.

Blood cancer touches nearly everyone. A neighbor, a coworker, someone’s child. The research being funded right now is the reason people survive, and events like Shred for Red are how that research gets funded. Last year, participants raised more than $400,000 for this work.

This cause hits close to home for us. Owen Modena, whose family owns TownLift, was diagnosed with Stage 3 blood cancer at age five and was last year’s Honorary Hero at this very event. He’ll be on the mountain Saturday, Shredding and raising funds for other families fighting cancer and so will we.
