Ikon Pass adds new resorts, perks and flexibility for 2026–27 season

PARK CITY, Utah — The Ikon Pass will return for the 2026–27 winter season with expanded access, new destinations, and additional perks for passholders when sales open March 12.

The pass, operated by Alterra Mountain Company, will provide access to 76 mountain destinations across five continents. This year’s updates focus on expanding access at existing resorts, adding new Midwest mountains, and introducing new benefits for returning passholders.

“Winter 26/27 will bring new destinations to explore and new offerings that provide Ikon Pass holders with even more flexibility, allowing them to chase snow and outdoor adventure across 76 premier mountain destinations around the world,” said Matt Bowers, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Alterra Mountain Company.

One of the most notable changes is expanded access at several Colorado resorts. Arapahoe Basin will now offer unlimited access on the Ikon Base Pass, while Snowmass will be available for five days on the Base Pass with select blackout dates. Passholders will also no longer need lift reservations at the four Aspen Snowmass mountains.

The pass is also adding three new Midwest destinations for the upcoming season: Lutsen Mountains, Granite Peak, and Snowriver Mountain Resort. Ikon Pass holders will receive seven days at each resort with no blackout dates, while Ikon Base Pass holders will receive five days with select blackout dates.

Closer to home, Idaho’s Tamarack Resort has been added as a new “bonus mountain,” giving Ikon Pass holders two free days at the resort.

Alterra is also introducing new incentives aimed at encouraging renewals and group purchases. Returning passholders can now choose from several “Renewal Rewards,” including monthly mountain credits that can be used for food, rentals, or retail purchases at participating resorts, as well as travel and gear benefits.

Families will see expanded child pass discounts, while a new “Squad Pack” option allows groups of five skiers ages 23–28 to buy Ikon Base Passes together at a reduced price.

The company is also rolling out a new refundable purchase option, allowing passholders who haven’t used their pass by Jan. 15, 2027 to receive a full refund, or a 50% refund if the pass has been used once.

Pricing for the 2026–27 season starts at $1,349 for the Ikon Pass, $924 for the Ikon Base Pass, and $299 for Ikon Session Passes.

Buyers for next season will also get spring skiing access this season at select destinations, including Deer Valley Resort, Solitude Mountain Resort, and Schweitzer Mountain Resort, depending on the pass type and purchase date.

Ikon Passes go on sale March 12 at ikonpass.com.
