Salt Lake Airport earns top honors for cleanliness, customer experience

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) has been recognized with three top honors in the 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Customer Experience Awards, standing out among more than 400 airports worldwide.

The awards, presented annually by Airports Council International, are based entirely on passenger feedback and measure satisfaction across multiple aspects of the airport experience.

SLC was named one of the Best Airports in North America at Departures in the 25 to 40 million annual passenger category, sharing the recognition with LaGuardia Airport.

The airport also earned honors as one of the Most Enjoyable Airports in North America, alongside Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and Orlando International Airport.

In addition, SLC was recognized as one of the Cleanest Airports in North America, sharing that distinction with Gerald R. Ford International Airport and Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.

“Being honored with an ASQ Customer Experience Award shows SLC’s commitment to enhancing our passengers’ experience,” said Bill Wyatt, executive director of the Salt Lake City Department of Airports. “This recognition is shared with the many employees — from the airport to airlines to TSA and other tenants — who work tirelessly day in and day out to deliver a reliable, high-quality airport experience.”

The ASQ program is the only initiative that measures passenger satisfaction while travelers are still at the airport. Passengers are randomly selected at departure gates and surveyed using scientifically designed sampling methods.

Awards will be formally presented in September at the 2025 ASQ Customer Experience Awards Ceremony during the ACI World Airport Experience Summit.

The latest recognition continues a string of accolades for SLC following its multiyear redevelopment.
