PARK CITY, Utah — After adding a third-consecutive high school championship in January, the Park City Red Varsity ice hockey team secured their spot at the Chipotle-USA Hockey National Championships after a decisive 10-0 defeat against Sky Canyon, who won this year’s title in the independent division.
The win qualified the Miners Red to represent Utah on the national stage in Plymouth, Minnesota, with matches taking place from March 18-22.
This will be the teams second consecutive year at the national championships, with nine players returning from the team that was the first from Park City to reach the quarterfinals.
Park City Red Varsity crushed Sky Canyon Monday night 10-0, securing their spot to head to Nationals mid March in Plymouth Minnesota.
