PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Rotary Club is accepting applications for its 2026 Project Grant cycle, offering $40,000 in awards to eligible nonprofits operating programs in Summit County, the club announced.
“This year, we are pleased to be able to award $40,000 to organizations seeking $2,000-$5,000,” said Steve Yapp, the club’s grants committee chair, in a statement. The grants are funded with money raised through the club’s annual Miners Day and Running of the Balls event, he said.
Applicants must clearly identify a specific project the funding will support, and that can be completed within a year, Yapp said.
To be eligible, organizations must have programs operating in Summit County and hold IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Applications must also align with at least one of Rotary’s areas of focus: promoting peace; fighting disease; providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene; saving mothers and children; supporting education; growing local economies; or protecting the environment, according to the grant guidelines.
In 2025, Park City Rotary awarded grants to Summit County Community for Children’s Justice, Hope Alliance, GFWC Park City Athenaeum Club, Recycle Utah, Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch County, Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter, Summit Community Gardens/EATS, Summit Cooperative Weed Management Area, Summit County Clubhouse, Lucky Project, Friends of Ski Mining History and Lectura Lounge. “These organizations provide great value to our community,” Yapp said. “We are looking forward to learning about the projects that need our support this year.”
Applications are available at parkcityrotary.org. The deadline to submit completed applications is Feb. 22, 2026. Awardees will be notified by March 4 and will receive checks at an awards luncheon on March 24.
Founded in 1980, Park City Rotary said it has more than 40 years of community service in Summit County. Rotary International is a global network of more than 46,000 clubs worldwide.
