SNAPPED: Park City’s Olympic spirit on display at UOP ski jumps

PARK CITY, Utah — On Tuesday, the Utah Olympic Park‘s nordic ski jumps had signage installed for the 2034 Winter Olympic Games.

2034 at UOP.

The green, plastic pieces allow for year-round training and competition for the sports of ski jumping and nordic combined.

Summer jumping on plastic simulates actual winter jumping more accurately than most other sports like summer bobsledding down the  track or freestyle aerials into the pool.

This plastic product, process, and people doing the installation have been brought over from Europe to ensure the most state-of-the-art experience.

The numbers of 2-0-3-4 now adorn the HS (Hill Size) 100 hill or “normal hill” on lookers-left/skiers right where an image of a ski jumper was previously for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympics. The adjacent HS 134 aka large hill, has Olympic Rings on it.
