HEBER CITY, Utah — In response to ongoing frustrations surrounding ticket sales for its popular Demolition Derby and Mountain Valley Stampede Rodeo, Wasatch County Fair Days organizers announced an in-person ticket pre-sale event, offering residents a throwback to “simpler times.”
The announcement comes amid rising concerns over online ticketing issues, including disappearing tickets during checkout and increased scam attempts, even before official sales have begun.
“While this won’t fix all of our issues, we’re hoping to help with most of them. This year, we’ve already seen an increase of scammers — and tickets aren’t even on sale yet.”
The in-person ticket pre-sale will take place on Tuesday, May 27, and Wednesday, May 28, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wasatch County Rec Center, located at 345 W. 600 S. in Heber City.
Attendees must be present to purchase tickets, and online sales will not be available until the original release date of June 9. Buyers can select one night each for the derby and rodeo, with a purchase limit of up to 10 tickets per event.
Organizers emphasized the goal of increasing ticket accessibility and reducing the impact of fraudulent sellers.
Reminders and additional information will be shared via social media, email and mailers in the coming weeks. For questions, residents are encouraged to message the fair on Instagram.
“We appreciate your patience,” organizers said. “We’re working hard to make this year’s Fair Days fair for everyone.”
Wasatch County Fair Days is an annual celebration that draws thousands for its small-town traditions, community events and crowd-favorite competitions.
