OGDEN, Utah — The Intermountain Division (IMD) Championships took place at Snowbasin this year from March 14-16. The Intermountain Division Championships include the top 50 male and female skiers from the Southern Division and Northern Division of ski programs in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho. This includes U12s (birth years 2013, 2014) and U10s (2015, 2016).
In men’s slalom, Park City’s Bronson Karr, a second year U12, came in second, followed by Nate Snyder, who also lives in Park City and skis for PC-based Alpine Racing Collective (ARC).
The Park City Ski & Snowboard Team swept the podium in women’s slalom.
Weather for the giant slalom was intermittent snow showers, sometimes verging on blizzard-like conditions
In the men’s GS, Parkite Banks Antablin, who skies for the Snowbird Sports Education Foundation Team, stormed to the win and his teammate – first-year U12, Forest Knight, also of Park City, took second place. Snowbasin’s William Andrasko took third place.
On Sunday, racers skied head-to-head in a parallel slalom. After combining times from two runs, the top 16 men and women raced an elimination round for fun.
