Adoptable pets of the week: Meet Gino and Grace

MIDWAY, Utah — Two playful 2-month-old puppies with unique personalities are this week’s featured adoptable pets through Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups rescue organization.

Gino and Grace, Rottweiler and Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mixes, are available for adoption and ready to bring their distinct charms to loving homes.

Described as a charmer with “smoldering blue eyes,” Gino is the more outgoing of the pair. The brown and white pup gets along well with his siblings and the adult dogs in his foster home. His sociable nature extends to cats and children as well, making him adaptable to various household situations.

His sister Grace presents a more reserved personality. The rescue describes her as a “princess” who doesn’t compete for attention but appreciates it when it comes her way. With unique markings inherited from both her mother and unknown father, Grace would thrive with patient owners who allow her to develop confidence at her own pace.

Both puppies are house trained and described as playful, affectionate, intelligent and eager to please. They require fenced yards and would do well in homes with existing dogs.

Mountain Mama Pyrs and Pups, founded in June 2023, operates as a foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Utah and surrounding states. While primarily focused on livestock guardian dog breeds, the rescue accepts urgent cases of all breeds.

The organization aims to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets while educating the public about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering.
