Art meets nature at the Wild Winter Art Market

PARK CITY, Utah – Join Swaner for a holiday market featuring local artists whose work highlights the beauty of the natural world. The Wild Winter Art Market at Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter, 1258 Center Drive, Park City, takes place Thursday, Dec. 12 from 6 – 9 p.m.

Help Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter preserve, educate and nurture people and the planet by shopping local

19 local artists were selected to participate. Each artist’s work highlights the beauty of the natural world, fosters creativity, and/or inspires action to care for our environment. Admission to the market is free, and each vendor will be donating a small portion of their proceeds from the event to Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter. Featured art includes jewelry, illustrated prints, ceramics, stained glass, handmade wooden goods, and more.

Sustainability dominates this art market

“It has been a while since we’ve had space in the EcoCenter to host a holiday market – when we realized there would be an open period before our next exhibit, we jumped on the opportunity to highlight local creators,” said Hunter Klingensmith, Director of Visitor Experience. “We hope to encourage joy, deeper connections to nature, and local shopping through this market. A big shout-out to Honeysuckle Handmade Studio and Tae Worth Studio for lending their expertise in preparing and to all of the artists who applied for the market.”

The artists are gathering for the Wild Winter Art Market from up and down the Wasatch Front and Back. Wild Waters Soapery is bringing their ecofriendly, all natural soaps, which are as good for the planet as they are for you. As many ingredients as possible are sourced locally.

Grant Hawkes is presenting his Wildfolk Wanderer products ranging from roughed in spoon blanks to finished hand-carved wooden utensils and pole lathe wooden bowls.
