Soccer’s Extreme Cup Tournament director wins statewide award
PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Soccer Club announced on Friday that Cora Lucero Reddan, Director of the Park City Extreme Cup Tournament, has been named as the Administrator of the Year by the Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA.)
According to Carly Kent, UYSA Director of Operations & Finance, “Cora’s long-standing commitment to Utah’s soccer community and her outstanding organizational abilities made her a natural choice for this year’s Administrator of the Year.” The honor was presented at UYSA’s Annual Awards Gala.
“I’m humbled and grateful to be recognized as Utah’s Soccer Administrator of the Year,”Reddan said in a statement. “I’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing people throughout the years. This award isn’t just about me, it’s about our whole Extreme Cup executive team and the success we achieve together. I also couldn’t do it without my family Nick, Tobin and Ladin, and everyone else I convince to help along the way.”
Reddan took over the Park City Extreme Cup in 2017, after five years as the Max Cup Director in Salt Lake. She has served the youth soccer players of Utah for more than a decade, orchestrating top quality competitive experiences as a tournament director, while also serving as a resource and mentor for other events as a senior member of UYSA’s Tournament Committee.
A former youth player, Reddan served as a team manager for much of her son’s soccer career, is a UYSA Certified Registrar, earned her grass roots coaching certification, has attended referee instructional clinics, and even encouraged her son, Tobin, to become a licensed coach himself.
In his third year with PCSC, Tobin currently coaches the Club’s 2016 Boys White and Silver teams.
Under Reddan’s tenure, the Extreme Cup has grown to host over 480 boys and girls teams annually, ages 8 -18, from across Utah, as well as AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NM, NV, TX, WA, and WY.
The tournament draws more than 9,000 participants and twice as many spectators and has generated over $700,000 for Park City Soccer Club’s Scholarship Fund and operating programs. The 2025 Extreme Cup will be held July 24 – 26 in Park City, the Kamas Valley, and Heber.
