Cynthia Washington celebrates her book release at Nov. 15 event
PARK CITY, Utah — When Cynthia Washington set out to write her memoir, “Mind Matters,” she reached out to award-winning author and part-time Parkite Nina Romano for mentorship. Washington will celebrate her book release with an event on Nov. 15 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Alpine Distilling, 350 Main St., Park City.
Washington’s path to empowering women
Washington’s journey from dream to destiny unfolds in “Mind Matters: The Story of My Life.” She studied international business and marketing, focusing on Asian studies at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and completed Columbia University’s Chief Marketing Executive program. A Park City resident of 20 years, Washington actively supports the community, participating in initiatives like Live PC Give PC. She also volunteers on A Bolder Way Forward’s legislative committee alongside Susan Madsen and with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salt Lake City.
Inspiring others through challenges
When she became a mother, Washington embarked on what she calls her “mom mission” to provide her daughter with the childhood she always wished for. Now, with her daughter in college, she reflects on her unique experiences and challenges, including a memorable “Dream Night” with Marshall Mathers, which she details in the book.
“Learning to be resilient through challenges with a positive mindset is the key to success,” Washington says.
