Green Business Program offers two events in November
PARK CITY, Utah — The Green Business program has announced two upcoming events this November: Green Drinks on Nov. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m., and a Green Business Lunch & Learn on Nov. 13, from noon to 1 p.m.
Green Drinks highlights Protect Our Winters (POW) and Dark Skies
Recycle Utah invites the community to Green Drinks on Nov. 12, hosted at Park City Mountain Resort’s Legacy Lodge in Park City Mountain Village plaza, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Axel Pearson from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory will speak on the impact of outdoor lighting on human health, discuss energy efficiency opportunities, and share emerging research. The Laboratory leads in scientific discovery in chemistry, data analytics, Earth science, and sustainable energy innovation.
Brody Leven from POW will highlight the nonprofit’s mission, team, achievements, and upcoming initiatives. POW is a movement driven by outdoor athletes, artists, and brands advocating for policies to address the climate crisis.
Drinks will be available for purchase, with light snacks provided. Attendees are encouraged to carpool.
Green Business Lunch & Learn: Focus on Commuting
The Green Business Lunch & Learn on Nov. 13 will cover sustainable commuting solutions for employees. Attendees will hear from city and county representatives on incentives, plans to reduce traffic, examples of local business initiatives, and how other businesses can support these efforts.
This event will occur at the Blair Education Center, 900 Round Valley Dr., Park City. Lunch is included; please register by noon today, Nov. 7.
