10 years of Beau Collective and so many more to geau
PARK CITY, Utah — It’s been 10 years since The Beau Collective first opened its doors as a fitness-focused community hub. What started as a small group of just 24 locals has blossomed into a vibrant collective of hundreds of Parkites who value connection, mental wellness, and finding their “third place” beyond work and home.
As the gym’s founder Whitney White Kozlowski reflected, “It’s so cool that what started simply has grown into a team of great people in this town that value consistent connection. It isn’t so much that they just value fitness– they value the people they see on the weekdays, not just the weekend.”
The Beau Collective has evolved far beyond its roots as a fitness studio. While high-intensity interval training (HIIT) classes remain at the core of the experience, the space has become a community gathering place where people find accountability, support, and a sense of belonging.
“We’re adjusting some classes as our friends age up with us, where we’re lifting heavy weights and slowing the cardio down and doing more breath work and yoga and more ways for people to connect with those they already have established trust with,” she said.
An important pivot by Beau Collective was its move to Outlets Park City in 2021. In order to survive the pandemic and remain a mainstay for the community, the Beau Co team leaned more heavily on the retail side of the business while in-person workout classes were put on hold. The community showed its support for the move and the hybridization of the business throughout and beyond the pandemic.
“Nobody creates community like Whitney,” said Beau Co geau-er Julie Caldwell. “She has done something super special and Park City would not be the same without it.”
This commitment to fostering deep, lasting relationships has been key to Beau Co’s success. Rather than focusing solely on weekend classes or big events, the team has prioritized the weekday experience – moments where members see familiar faces and find that “third place” between work, school, or home.
“We now feel closer and more in step with people that we see here on a Tuesday or Wednesday, than at a weekend barbecue or dinner out,” Kozlowski said. “That really is the importance of a third place, another place that you can go where people really care about you.”
This emphasis on consistent, caring connection has extended beyond the walls of the fitness studio as well. Over the past decade, The Beau Collective has expanded into a full-fledged retail experience, selling lifestyle apparel and goods that reflect the community’s values of wellness, adventure, and local pride.
“We have people now that are alumni that just come and shop, and we love it, we just want to see them,” the founder said.
In many ways, The Beau Collective has become a “love note to the community,” a place where longtime members, new faces, and the entire Park City fitness tribe can gather, sweat, shop, and celebrate their collective journey.
With 10 years of consistent effort, evolution, and an unwavering commitment to community, Beau Co has cemented its place as an essential fixture in the lives of Park City locals.
