Ski jumpers Josie Johnson, Sam Macuga finish 2nd, 3rd in New York’s National Championships
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — USA Ski Jumping athletes Josie Johnson and Sam Macuga from the Park City Ski and Snowboard Team placed second and third, respectively, on Oct. 13 in Lake Placid at the U.S. National Championships.
Johnson jumped 94 meters and Macuga 92 on the HS 100 hill.

Annika Belshaw of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club won the title of champion for her fourth consecutive year.
The competition took place on a warm-weather surface installed on the mountainside before winter snowfall.
Casey Larson, a Utah Olympic Park employee and two-time Olympian who grew up in Norge’s Chicago-area club, placed second in the men’s competition. Larson made a comeback after taking time off to rehabilitate a shoulder injury.
This month, USA Nordic Sport officially changed its name back to USA Ski Jumping, which they say will “reflect our commitment to focus on growth and vision for the future of Ski Jumping in the USA.”
