Rotary Club’s ‘Running of the Balls’ funds $100K in local grants
PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Rotary Club has awarded $100,000 in Service Above Self grants to three local organizations: Holy Cross Ministries, Peace House, and Hope Alliance.
The funds, raised through the club’s annual Running of the Balls event, will support various community initiatives. Holy Cross Ministries assists underserved families, Peace House aids domestic violence survivors, and Hope Alliance focuses on bringing vision care and eyeglasses to people worldwide.
“Through these grants, we reaffirm our commitment to the Rotary motto of ‘Service Above Self,’ supporting organizations that align with our vision of fostering a strong, compassionate community,” said Timothy Higdon, President of the Park City Rotary.
The Park City Rotary, a chapter of Rotary International, has been active in community service since 1980. The club meets weekly to plan projects that help those in need.
Community members are encouraged to participate in future events, including next year’s Running of the Balls, to continue funding local projects.
