Park City Chamber to host annual Tourism Forum ahead of ski season
PARK CITY, Utah—On Wednesday, the Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau announced plans for its 2024 Tourism Fall Forum, which will be held on Nov. 1 at the Stein Eriksen Lodge.
The annual event will feature updates from resort executives, Olympic officials, and a local medal-winning athlete as the community prepares for the upcoming ski season.
Olympic sports communications professional Tom Kelly will moderate a panel discussion with winter sports industry leaders, including:
- Deirdra Walsh, vice president and COO of Park City Mountain
- Susie English, VP of marketing of Deer Valley
- Nathan Rafferty, president and CEO of Ski Utah
- Calum Clark, COO of Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation
- Gareth Trayner, general manager at Woodward Park City
Jennifer Wesselhoff, president and CEO of the Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau, said the forum aims to provide valuable insights and inspiration.
“Fall Forum is designed to kick off the winter season with updates from community partners and inspirational speakers,” Wesselhoff said. “Attendees will gain valuable insights from mountain resort representatives and key stakeholders, and will be inspired by Park City’s own 2024 silver medalist in mountain biking, Haley Batten.”
Wesselhoff will present a winter marketing preview and economic update. The forum builds on plans shared at the chamber’s annual meeting, including sustainable tourism initiatives.
The event will also feature a presentation on the 2034 Olympic Games by Catherine Raney-Norman, chair of the Utah Committee for the Games, with Batten capping off the event by participating in a fireside chat with Kelly.
Community members can register for the event through the chamber’s website.
