81-year-old man injured in off-road vehicle rollover on Reservation Ridge

HEBER CITY, Utah — An 81-year-old man was seriously injured Saturday morning when his off-road vehicle rolled down a steep embankment on Reservation Ridge in Wasatch County.

The incident occurred around 7:16 a.m. when the man, who was hunting in the area, lost control of his side-by-side vehicle and veered off the road. He was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, according to Wasatch County officials.

Fellow hunters discovered the accident and alerted emergency services. Multiple agencies responded to the remote location, including Wasatch Fire Department, Wasatch County Search & Rescue, Utah State Parks, Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, and Utah County Search & Rescue.

Due to the severe nature of the injuries and the remote location, Intermountain Life Flight was called to assist with the extraction. The rescue operation lasted approximately 4.5 hours.

The current condition of the victim and specific details about his injuries have not been released. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
