Work to begin July 8 on US-40, SR-248 to I-80 Pavement Rehabilitation project

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Work will begin on Monday, July 8, on the US-40, SR-248 to I-80 Pavement Rehabilitation project.

According to the Utah Department of Transportation, This project will entail concrete roadway repair and replacement, including removing and replacing cracked and broken concrete roadway sections.

Crews will use a rapid set concrete mix for expedited curing in an effort to reduce lane closures, then they will grind the roadway for smoothness.

Drivers should expect daytime single lane closures in both directions during low-volume traffic periods on US-40.
