Tiger Woods swings by Park City to inspect Marcella Golf Course progress

Tiger Woods’ first mountain course is set to open in 2025. The premier 18-hole course will span over 8,000 yards, making it one of the longest in Utah.

PARK CITY, Utah — Marcella recently welcomed Tiger Woods and members of TGR Design for an in-depth walk-through of the highly anticipated Tiger Woods championship golf course. The walk-through covered all 18 holes, with approvals for seven and detailed discussions on shaping and strategy for the remainder.

“Despite a snowy winter, we have made substantial progress on the championship course,” said Beth Armstrong, managing director of Marcella. “The walk-through allowed us to fine-tune the layout and features to ensure a challenging and enjoyable experience for all golfers.”

The team focused on strategic elements such as bunkers, green complexes, shaping, and grassing to meet the highest standards of design and playability. Once completed, the premier 18-hole course will span over 8,000 yards, making it one of the longest in Utah and Tiger Woods’ first mountain course. The course is set to open in 2025, with more visits planned before the grand opening.

The course will be located in Marcella Jordanelle Ridge, a gated community in the Jordanelle Ridge Masterplan Community near Park City. It is exclusive to Marcella, a partnership between Marcella at Deer Valley and Marcella Jordanelle Ridge.

“Overall, the development is coming together well, including the Marcella real estate offerings at both Deer Valley and Jordanelle Ridge. Tiger’s focus and attention to detail is truly inspiring. It is an honor to have Tiger and his team in Utah working on this incredible project with us,” said Cody Winterton, division president of Raintree Investment Corporation, the developer of the Jordanelle Ridge master plan community.

Tiger Woods expressed his admiration for Marcella.

“I was completely blown away by everything about Marcella. The amenities, the commitment to excellence, not to mention maybe the best views I have ever seen on a golf course,” said Woods. “I told the team that this is the perfect canvas, and we just need to make sure we live up to the challenge.”

Marcella at Deer Valley is the only private ski community with access to a golf membership in the Park City area. Located in the newly announced Deer Valley East Village, part of the Deer Valley Expansion, Marcella members will also enjoy another 18-hole championship golf course, a short course designed by Woods, a private ski-in-ski-out lodge at Deer Valley Resort, and members-only amenities on Park City’s historic Main Street.

With over 65% of its 500 available memberships already sold, Marcella is one of the most exclusive private clubs in the U.S. Additional homesites on the 36-hole course site at Marcella Jordanelle Ridge are expected to be announced within the year.

Marcella offers membership amenities in three locations: Marcella at Deer Valley, Marcella Jordanelle Ridge, and Marcella on Main. For more information about Marcella or membership opportunities, visit Marcella Club’s website.
