PCHS Miners Baseball Team headed to playoffs
PARK CITY, Utah — The 12th ranked Park City High School Varsity Boys Baseball Team has made it into the 4A Utah High School Playoffs, which will be held at various venues.
They are ranked sixth divisionally, with an 18 – 7 record on the regular season so far. Recent Senior Night honored the entire graduating group including third baseman Ashton Gertie, signed to play baseball at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California; and centerfielder and part-time pitcher Griff Rogers signed to play baseball at Occidental College in California.
Rogers is the top-ranked runner in Utah with 41 runs scored. Teammate Tage Mckinley holds the other top-ten Utah ranking in eighth with an On Base Percentage of 0.621.
Dave Feasler has been the head coach of the Miners Baseball for eight years. He lead the team to its first Regional Championship victory on April 28, the first win at that level since 2017.
“Seniors Nigh was great, I’m so proud of them all because these guys are more than just good athletes, they’re wonderful kids,” Feasler told TownLift. “It was really fun to celebrate these seven awesome seniors and the immeasurable impact they’ve created here at Park City High School, both on and off the baseball field.”
The team is 3 – 0 at home and 7 – 4 away for the season.
In the 4A Region 10 standings, the Miners are on top of the leaderboard followed by Juan Diego then Cottonwood.
