Bubble damaged beyond repair; to remain closed for the rest of the season
PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Recreation announced yesterday that the bubble covering the tennis courts at the Park City Municipal Athletic and Recreation Center will not be playable for the remainder of the indoor season.
The bubble sustained significant damage during a windstorm on March 1, and has remained closed since then.
“There has been significant damage to the bubble doors, and the replacement time alone will not accommodate any further indoor play,” said a statement from Park City Recreation. “A bubble expert will be onsite in the coming days to further assess structural damage.”
Public access to the bubble is currently not allowed, but according to a statement from Park City Recreation, the team is working to open the outdoor courts as soon as possible.
“We understand the impact this situation has had on all our MARC patrons and appreciate your continued support and understanding,” said a statement from Park City Recreation.
