Miracle March continues to deliver with another 16″ of snow through Sunday
PARK CITY, Utah — What a March this has been for skiers in riders looking for fresh powder. While the winter season snowfall totals started off slow, by most accounts, the end of the season has put season snow totals right on track.
Skiers and Riders can look for 16″ of snow through Sunday March 31 at Alta, 16″ at Snowbird, 5″ at Canyons Village, and 8″ at Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort. Temps are set to rise as the storm moves through the region with the majority of snow falling early Sunday Morning and into Sunday. Be on the lookout for an downside snowpack.

The Utah Avalanche Center says that “March is not going out quietly as winds increase overnight and into Saturday, with 6-8″ of new snow possible by Saturday morning. A stronger system overnight Saturday into at least Sunday.” While adding the cautionary statement that “There have been nearly 40 human-triggered avalanches reported to the UAC since Sunday, with a few near-misses. Carefully evaluate the stability of a slope before stepping into avalanche terrain and make sure there are no parties below you.”
The Utah snowpack currently sits at 129% of median.
