Empowering women in politics: Utah Women Run holds training event March 16
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah announced the opening of registration for the Utah Women Run 2024 Annual Training event. Scheduled for March 16 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, this day-long workshop aims to empower women with the tools necessary for political engagement, whether in running campaigns, policy advocacy, or informed voting.
The program will cover essential topics such as campaign planning, advocacy, finance, and fundraising. U.S. Representative Celeste Maloy will deliver the keynote speech. The event boasts a diverse group of partners and sponsors, including Zions Bank and Holland and Hart, and promises opportunities for networking with leaders in the field.
“We are excited to host this annual training event to help women in Utah become more engaged in politics,” said Melanie Hall, the event’s host. The training seeks to provide insights from experienced leaders and foster connections among attendees.
Registration is open to all, with fees set at $30 for general admission and $15 for students. The event is a part of the nonpartisan initiative Utah Women Run, supported by the Hinckley Institute of Politics, focusing on empowering women in public life.
