Eat subs, grant wishes: Jersey Mike’s ‘Month of Giving’ to benefit Make-A-Wish Utah
MANASQUAN, N.J. — Jersey Mike’s Subs, is launching its 14th Annual Month of Giving campaign this March with a special focus: inviting customers to support local causes by enjoying their favorite sub. This year, the Park City location’s donations will be directed to Make-A-Wish Utah, a unique organization that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Throughout the nation, Jersey Mike’s locations are partnering with over 200 local charities, ranging from hospitals and youth organizations to food banks. The Month of Giving initiative provides diners the opportunity to contribute by rounding up their purchases or donating a specific amount – $1, $3, or $5 – at the time of ordering.
The Day of Giving is set for Wednesday, March 27. On this day, Jersey Mike’s locations will donate 100% of their sales to their chosen local charities..
Since its inaugural event in 2011, which saw 454 Jersey Mike’s stores raise $600,000 for 66 charities, the Month of Giving has collectively raised over $88 million for local causes. Last year, the campaign reached a new high, raising $21 million nationwide. This March, Jersey Mike’s is aiming to surpass that total, driven by the support of its customers and the dedication of its local store owners and operators.
“I would like to extend a personal invitation to you and your family to visit Jersey Mike’s Subs throughout the month of March, and especially on Day of Giving when 100 percent of sales – every penny – goes to help a great local cause,” said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s founder and CEO, who started the company when he was only 17 years old.
