High Country Fly Fishers to offer beginner fly-tying course starting Feb. 3

PARK CITY, Utah — For those looking to cast a line and drop some fly, High Country Fly Fishers is offering a beginner fly-tying course starting this weekend.

According to a press release from High Country Fly Fishers, this course is designed for enthusiasts of all levels. It covers tying basics and patterns such as tying the woolly bugger and hare’s ear nymph.

While High Country Fly Fishers will provide all necessary equipment and materials, participants may bring their own vise and tools.

The course will take place over three consecutive Saturday mornings beginning Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Park City, in room 103A. Coffee and breakfast pastries will be served to all participants.

Registration is available here, and costs $95 per person. Priority will be given to current High Country Fly Fishers members and first-time attendees. Enrollment is limited to 10 students per session. Those interested in attending the course after it has filled up can reach out to HCFF599@gmail.com to be added to the waitlist.
