PARK CITY, Utah — Stio Mountain Studio Park City is once again partnering with Wasatch Adventure Guides to host the Wasatch Women Mountain Collective Intro to Fly Fishing Clinic on Aug. 30, a full-day course designed to introduce women to the fundamentals of fly fishing.

The clinic, sponsored by Stio, is led by the team of female fly-fishing guides at Wasatch Adventure Guides. Participants will spend the day working through the basics of the sport, from gear and knots to on-river technique.

The Intro course curriculum covers topics, including different styles of fly fishing, gear overview, foundational knot tying, and rod/rig setup. Guides will teach various casting techniques and review basic entomology before heading to the river for an afternoon of hands-on practice.

On-river instruction includes reading water, line management, hook setting, fish handling, and river safety.

Specific event details, including recommended attire and preparation list, will be sent by email once a participant registers. The clinic is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and spots can be reserved by phone or through the Wasatch Adventure Guides website before Aug. 30.

The collaboration is part of the Wasatch Women Mountain Collective, an ongoing series of Stio-backed programs that connect women with outdoor skills and mentorship in the mountains around Park City, Utah.
