Park City’s Skullcandy, Woodward unveil multi-year partnership

Skullcandy and Woodward partner to elevate the action sports experience

PARK CITY, Utah — Yesterday, Skullcandy and Woodward, both Park City-based global consumer brands, announced Skullcandy as Woodward’s Official Lifestyle Audio Partner.

The multi-year partnership deal will see Skullcandy provide an enhanced soundtrack for Woodward guests and collaborate with Woodward on new initiatives and products.

“Woodward and Skullcandy. We are neighbors; we are kindred spirits; we are looking to elevate the action sports experience in every wild and weird way that our teams can imagine,” Chris “Gunny” Gunnarson, president of Woodward, said in a press release. “Stay tuned for more awesomeness ahead!”

The deal will see Skullcandy sold at Woodward retail locations as the exclusive audio products on Woodward shelves. In addition, Skullcandy will be creating new products and collaborations with Woodward, as well as hosting a series of events at the action sports hub.

The partnership deal will also integrate art and creativity into various joint brand activations. This will include new, customized terrain park features and art programs where campers and guests can create their own art projects and mural installations at Woodward. “Multi-sensory creativity” will be a key focus of the partnership, with new products and initiatives designed to enhance the overall experience for visitors.

Skullcandy, an irreverent lifestyle audio brand, was founded in 2003 and acquired by Mill Road Capital in 2016. In 2015, Skullcandy created the Born in PC program, which supports Park City and other Utah organizations that “share our love for music, the environment and outdoor recreation.”
