Park City Education Foundation announces Ingrid Whitley as new president and CEO

PARK CITY, UT – The Park City Education Foundation (PCEF) is welcoming Ingrid Whitley as its new president and CEO.

Whitley will begin her work with PCEF on Jan. 23, with more than a decade of expertise in education, educational nonprofit management and consulting, and fundraising – including the leadership of a capital campaign that exceeded its goal by more than $10 million.

“I’m so honored to begin work alongside PCEF’s beloved staff and dedicated Board,” Whitley said. “PCEF’s mission, to fund initiatives that inspire all students to reach their academic and lifelong potential, echoes my deep passion for the pursuit of educational equity, which sparked when I taught for Teach for America – and has only grown since.”

Whitley joins PCEF from her post as assistant vice president at CCS Fundraising, a firm that maximizes fundraising results for nonprofits. She also held associate and senior director positions at CCS, and worked as the Associate Director of Advancement at the Waterford School in Sandy, where she shepherded its goal-smashing capital campaign. Whitley also held numerous management positions for Teach for America after her work in the classroom.

PCEF Board Co-chairs Kim Abbett and Heather Koopman noted in a statement, “We are confident that Ingrid will be a great leader for PCEF. She has a proven track record of success in fundraising and is passionate about our mission. We know she will raise the bar for education in Park City.”

“PCEF is such an important partner to Park City School District students and families,” Jill Gildea, PCSD superintendent, said in a statement. “We look forward to serving students with Ingrid and the PCEF.”

Whitley takes up the PCEF torch from Abby McNulty, who built PCEF from $50,000 in annual fundraising for Park City students – to more than $2 million annually. McNulty served as PCEF’s president and CEO from 2008 until June of 2023.

Whitley was selected from a months-long national search conducted by Pathway Associates, in partnership with PCEF’s search committee, which was made up of Board members and former Board members. PCEF thanks Joelle Kanshepolsky, of Pathway Associates, for her proven leadership as the organization’s interim CEO.
