Park City Council members sworn in
Incumbent Ryan Dickey, Ed Parigian and Bill Ciraco will fill the three Park City Council seats after a successful campaign and election on Nov 21, 2023.
PARK CITY, Utah — On Jan. 3, 2024, at Bob Wells Plaza, Bill Ciraco, Ryan Dickey, and Ed Parigian were sworn in as Park City’s newest council members. They will occupy the three Park City Council seats following a successful campaign and election on Nov. 21, 2023.
Park City Mayor Nann Worel conducted the swearing-in ceremony in front of City Hall, where each candidate was joined by friends and family. Candidates were then given the opportunity to address the community for the first time as City Council members.
Ciraco shared that “Park City’s natural beauty is unparalleled, and it is our duty to be stewards of this precious attribute.” He went on to say that “I am dedicated to working collaboratively to address our need for a long term solution to our traffic problem, ensuring that Park City remains not only a world class destination, but also a world class home for the people that live here.”
Dickey shared his gratitude and excitement for future collaboration among the council, commending all candidates, saying “these guys ran two incredibly positive campaigns focused on the issues, focused on their vision for Park City, focused on the things they want to do.” Dickey continued, “I think it reflects really well on Mayor Warren’s leadership over the last two years her vision for Park City and where we are as a communit; that we’re together, COVID is over, we have things we want to do, we have a lot of unanimity of purpose and things we want to achieve.”
Parigian made the commitment that “Other than this one moment, right now, you will not hear me talk about world class. I don’t know what it means and to be honest I think it’s a marketing term. But, you will hear me talk about Park City class, and that is what I’m all about.”
“It’s good enough for me if we can succeed at being the best that we can be; the world will take notice by default, and they’ll come and visit, and maybe even want to be a part of this community. So that’s my goal. That’s my purpose. That’s the oath I give you today.”
