Kodiak Cakes, Travis Kelce fuel kids’ futures with 25k meals

Kodiak and Travis Kelce partner with Operation Breakthrough to provide 25,000 meals to children in need

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City’s Kodiak Cakes and star NFL tight end Travis Kelce announced that they are donating 25,000 meals to children in need through Operation Breakthrough.

Operation Breakthrough is an afterschool program for under-resourced youth. Kodiak and Kelce will donate free breakfast meals to hundreds of families, including Kodiak’s protein-packed classic Power Cakes, Oatmeal and Flapjack Power Cups, Breakfast and Granola Bars.

Kelce, an investor in Kodiak since 2022, shared his excitement about the effort in a press release: “Joining forces with my friends over at Kodiak to fuel the Operation Breakthrough families is a total privilege. Alongside Kodiak, a brand I love, we will be making a meaningful difference in the day-to-day life of hundreds of Kansas City kids, and I couldn’t be more excited to make this happen.”

“We are thrilled to work with Travis and an organization that is near and dear to his heart,” said Val Oswalt, CEO of Kodiak. “By providing nutritious breakfasts, we are giving kids what they need to be set up for success and ultimately pave the way for healthier futures.”

Last year, Kodiak signed on with Park City’s Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) as their title sponsor. Kodiak provides financial support and nutritional resources for YSA’s afterschool programs, quite literally fueling the adventures of Park City’s children.
