Deer Valley offers new ski camps from Olympians Ted Ligety and Jillian Vogtli

'I’m excited to share my secrets of carving perfect turns again this year and watch people with grins ear to ear as they make strides skiing,' says Ligety.

PARK CITY, Utah – Deer Valley Resort’s 23/24 winter season brings new, exclusive opportunities to sharpen your skills and ski with Olympians Ted Ligety and Jillian Vogtli. The world-class athletes have teamed up with Deer Valley’s renowned ski school to host individual specialty ski clinics that cover technique, performance, and wellness in an intimate and personal setting.

“We’re really excited to launch these programs with Ted and Jillian, both of whom offer such a unique approach to their craft. Each of their programs is incredibly personal and a true reflection of who they are. It’s been a collaborative experience from the beginning and we’re really proud to share it,” says Kurt Hammel, Deer Valley’s ski school recruiting manager.

The Ted Ligety Performance Camp will be held Jan. 26-28, 2024, offering three days of high-level skiing and indoor learning sessions. On the mountain, small groups of four to six will enjoy groomed private runs and visits from Ligety to provide hands-on expertise to help perfect their carving skills. Indoors, Ligety will share personal experiences and insights to help attendees ski at a higher, professional level.

“I’m excited to share my secrets of carving perfect turns again this year and watch people with grins ear to ear as they make strides skiing,” says Ligety.

Born and raised in Park City, Ligety is a two-time Olympic Gold medalist and five-time Giant Slalom World Champion. This is the second ski camp Ligety has hosted with Deer Valley, the first took place during the 22/23 winter season and sold out. Jillian Vogtli’s Women’s Empowerment Ski Clinic puts wellbeing into skiing, geared specifically toward intermediate- and advanced-level female skiers looking for a fresh approach to the sport. On Jan. 17 and Feb. 11, Vogtli’s one-day clinics will translate inner balance and wellness into confident, high-level skiing through small group drills, learning sessions, and mindful practices. March 1-3, Vogtli will host a larger three-day event where participants will discover where they might be holding themselves back both on and off the slopes. On-mountain time will focus on the fundamentals and principles Vogtli uses in her career as an athlete and with her ski and wellness clients alike. There will be goal-setting sessions, skiing video analysis, and workshops focused on both advancement in sport and in life. Participants will receive individualized attention from Vogtli, as well as a Rossignol gift bag.

“Throughout the clinics, we will be working on new skills and tools geared towards improving your skiing technique and your personal growth,” says Vogtli.

Vogtli is a two-time Olympian, with 8 World Cup Podiums, two National titles and a former 13-year member of the US Ski Team. She is also a holistic wellness coach and infused many concepts from her practice into this program. Learn more and sign up for the Jillian Vogtli Women’s Empowerment Ski Clinic, space is limited.
