New Municipal snow groomer needs a name
PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Municipal is looking for your help to name a new snow groomer that will be used by Park City and Mountain Trails Foundation to maintain the community’s multi-use trails.
The new groomer, a PistenBully 100, will be used daily throughout the winter in Round Valley, Bonanza Flat, and other locations. The contest is open to individuals of all ages, and the winning name will be announced on Jan. 24, 2024, through the official competition website and Park City’s communication channels.
To enter the competition, you must have a valid email address. Submissions cannot be an individual’s name (past or present) or include a business or organization’s name (past or present).
Each participant can submit up to two unique names for the new groomer. The names can be inspired by Park City’s history and culture, winter sports, and natural environment in a “clever and positive manner.”
All entries must be received by Jan. 8, 2024.
The judging criteria will take into account creativity, relevance to winter sports culture and Park City, and the overall appeal of the name.
The top submissions will be showcased on the official competition website for public voting, and the top two names will be sent to a judging panel for a final decision. The entry with the highest number of public votes will be declared the winner.
Other than bragging rights, there is no monetary prize or other award to be given to the winner. The winning name will be adopted for the new groomer, and PCMC will install a decal on the groomer, showing off its new name.
