MIDA approves new inn at Sundance

SUNDANCE, Utah — A new 63-room ADA accessible inn is in the works for the Sundance Mountain Resort’s base village.

The project area was unanimously approved at a Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA) meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

MIDA will issue public bonds to help finance the new inn. According to a press release from MIDA, the inn will serve as a year-round healing veterans program. All costs at the inn will be covered for veterans and their families.

Programming at the new inn will take after the Vail Veterans Program, which provides adaptive ski experiences to military injured and their families.

“We believe Utah, and Sundance Mountain Resort specifically, has the opportunity to continue to assist the wounded and injured veteran community with year-round programming that will evolve with the veteran population to assist with their physical and emotional recovery and healing,” said Bill Jensen, Sundance Mountain Resort partner and investor.
