Attend annual holiday family yoga session with Randi Jo
PARK CITY, Utah — Randi Jo Greenberg might just be as well-known to the community for her yoga sessions with the students and staff across the Park City School District as her holiday classes, but this time of year, visitors also enjoy the chance to join in the multi-generational fun.
Greenberg told TownLift jokingly, “Warning, this feel-good class will promote laughter and smiles for everyone.”
There are two opportunities:
The first one is the 13th annual holiday-themed yoga at The Shop located at 1167 Woodside Ave. on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. Bring your own yoga mat. $30 family donation suggested. No registration necessary, “just show up.”
The second one is at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse on Highland Drive on Sunday, Dec. 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. for six-month-olds and up, $10 per person. Register here.
Greenberg said, “Yoga and mindfulness is an ideal way to slow down and be present with the whole family. The yoga poses help all ages with flexibility and balance at a time when we are navigating ice patches, shoveling and sitting on the ground putting toys together. The mindfulness and breathing practices help to calm the mind, relieve stress and anxiety during this fast-paced and high-pressure time. The combination of these physical and mental aspects of family yoga help everyone to cultivate patience and focus on what is most important; relationship with loved ones.”
All ages welcome, “from babies to grandparents.. No previous yoga experience necessary.
