Weekly weather report: Chance of snow Wednesday night through Sunday

PARK CITY, Utah — Cloudy skies and temperatures in the 30s and 40s are expected early this week, with a chance of snow Wednesday night into Sunday according to a forecast from the National Weather Service.

According to Powderchasers, a storm could bring mountain totals of 10-15 inches of snow this weekend.

“In Utah, a small initial push of moisture will bring a few inches on Friday, although the main push of precipitation arrives during the day on Saturday,” said the Powderchasers forecast. “Saturday could bring good refills during the day, with 3-6” during the day for the Wasatch. Saturday night will see most of the snow in this system, and should drop 5-9”. Sunday will bring another several inches, bringing the storm totals to 10-15+ inches”

Today is forecasted to be mostly cloudy with areas of fog before 11 a.m., a high near 36, and calm wind becoming north-northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Tonight is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 18 and light and variable wind.

Tuesday, Nov. 28

Tuesday is forecasted to be cloudy through mid-morning, then gradually clearing, with a high near 43. Light and variable wind becoming northeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Tuesday night is expected to be mostly clear, with a low around 19 and south-southeast wind around 6 mph.

Wednesday, Nov. 29

Wednesday is forecasted to be partly sunny, with a high near 41 and south-southeast wind around 6 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Wednesday night is forecasted to be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of snow after 11 p.m. and a low around 21.

Thursday, Nov. 30 

Thursday is forecasted to be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of snow before 11 a.m. and a high near 34. Thursday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow after 11 p.m., and a low around 19.

Friday, Dec. 1

Friday is forecasted to be mostly cloudy with chance of snow and a high near 34. Friday night is forecasted to be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow and a low around 19.

Saturday, Dec. 2

Saturday is forecasted to be mostly cloudy with snow likely and a high near 32. Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy with snow likely and a low around 18.

Sunday, Dec. 3

Sunday is forecasted to be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow, and a high near 32.
