Teen struck by car on Heber Main Street, second this month
HEBER CITY, Utah — A teen was in critical condition after being struck by a car on Heber City’s Main Street yesterday. This is the second teen to be hit by a car on Main Street this month.
According to a statement from the Heber City Police Department, the Wasatch County Dispatch Center received a report of an auto-pedestrian accident at 790 South Main Street on Wednesday at approximately 11:28 a.m.
Multiple agencies were dispatched to the scene and determined that a 14-year-old girl had been struck by a southbound SUV.
“The female was in critical condition, and transported to the Heber Valley Hospital,” said a statement from the Heber City Police Department. “The female was then airlifted to a Salt Lake area hospital, where her condition is unknown at this time.”
A 14-year-old boy was struck by a work van on Sept. 14 on his way to school when he crossed in a crosswalk at the intersection of 500 East and 1200 South in Heber City.
This incident is still under investigation by the Heber City Police Department and Utah Highway Patrol.
