SNAPPED: high altitude and high vibes at the Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival

PARK CITY, Utah — The second-annual Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival kicked off on Saturday and Sunday with 20 local breweries, 101 different types of beer, live music, great food and family-friendly activities.

Nestled in the mountains of Deer Valley Resort, visitors rode into the festival on a scenic chairlift ride.

Christine Spinkston, senior PR and communications manager at Deer Valley Resort, said that this is the only beer festival in the state that highlights local Utah breweries.

“There is a really nice camaraderie between the breweries since everyone knows each other,” Spinkston said.

Visitors had the opportunity to vote on their favorite beer, and this year’s winner was Moab Brewery Especial Lager.
