Park City seeks residents to serve on new Appeal Panel

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Municipal is seeking residents to serve a three-year term on a new three-member Appeal Panel.

The Appeal Panel will be appointed by the Park City Council, and will hear appeals of Planning Commission decisions on Conditional Use Permits and Master Planned Developments.

The city is looking for applicants with Park City area residency, five or more years of prior experience in an adjudicative position, and/or a legal planning degree.

According to the Appeal Panel description, panel members must also be able to:

• Conduct quasi-judicial administrative hearings in an orderly, impartial, and highly professional manner,
• Follow complex oral and written arguments and identify key issues of local concern,
• Master non-legal concepts required to analyze specific situations

Applications are due Friday, Sept. 29, by 5 p.m. Applicants must also complete and submit the disclosure form to planning@parkcity.org by the Sept. 29 deadline.
