Support Nuzzles & Co at its annual gala on August 12
PARK CITY, Utah — Nuzzles & Co‘s annual fundraising gala is set for August 12, at 6 p.m. at Pendry Park City.
Tickets are on sale now. Last year’s event raised $300k to sustain the wonderful rescue efforts and programs Nuzzles & Co provides, such as the Community Clinic and Sanctuary Programs.
Join in on the fun-filled evening with cocktails on the plaza, fantastic beats from DJ Dolph, thrilling live and silent auctions, seated dinner, dancing, a cozy lounge for snuggling with adorable rescue pets, a photo booth for capturing memories, and inspiring stories of rescue tales.
“This is going to be a beautiful event at the Pendry,” said Josh Stasinos, annual giving manager for Nuzzles & Co. “We have some pretty amazing stuff donated for the auctions, including a signed Kobe Bryant playoff jersey. Raffle tickets can win you a trip to the Bellagio.”
Nuzzles & Co was founded in 1990, formerly known as Friends of Animals in Utah, by a group of ambitious volunteers with a mission of finding homes for animals in need. Today, they have successfully found forever homes for more than 25,000 pets.
The organization’s mission is to safeguard animals and create a nurturing environment where they can heal and acquire positive behaviors. These animals are then matched with loving homes. Additionally, the organization prioritizes community education on the humane treatment of animals.
“People think our adoption fees cover the cost of an animal, even our puppy adoption fee being $375, that is maybe a third of what it costs to bring that animal in, give it the medical care it needs, etc,” said Stasinos. “Adoption fees offset our costs, but they certainly don’t cover the amount of money it takes to rescue an animal; there are a lot of moving parts to it.”
