Handle mixologist Reagan Chung sweeps Savor the Cocktail contest

PARK CITY, Utah — Reagan Chung, mixologist at Handle restaurant, has emerged as the champion of the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) Savor the Cocktail and Mocktail Contests, based on the votes and tastes of Park City locals and visitors.

Throughout July, 21 PCARA member bars and restaurants served their most innovative concoctions, allowing patrons to sample and cast their votes for the ultimate seasonal favorite. In recognition of this esteemed title, Chung will receive a $1,000 cash prize ($500 for each category) and city-wide recognition.

In addition, Chung’s achievement will be highlighted in a captivating marketing campaign leading up to PCARA’s highly anticipated fall “Dine About” event.

Chung is not new to the Savor the Cocktail Contest, he also won the cocktail category of the competition in 2021 with a rum cocktail containing coconut water and pandan syrup.

Chung’s winning recipes:

“Gin” Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1.5oz Alpine Gin
  • .5oz Cappelletti
  • .75oz Rhubarb-honey syrup
  • .75oz Lemon Juice
  • 1/8oz Olive Oil

 Method: Shake all ingredients, strain into a Rocks glass with ice. Garnish with lemon twist.

“Mocktail #4”

Ingredients:

  • 1.5oz Phony Negroni
  • .75oz Rhubarb Honey Syrup
  • 3/4oz Lemon Juice
  • 1/8oz Olive Oil

Method: Shake all ingredients, and strain into a Nick & Nora glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
