Wild Heart Sanctuary to host yoga with horses, Jordan Matthew Young benefit concert

PARK CITY, Utah — The Wild Heart Sanctuary is a nonprofit, holistic wild horse refuge funded by donations, tours, equine and volunteer programs, fundraisers like the concert on July 20, and creative classes like yoga with horses.

Restorative Yoga classes, held in the vast horse pastures at 120 Westwood Road in Park City, have open registration for July 13, 23, and 30. They are $35, click here to register.

Ranch volunteer Jeanette Heckert told TownLift, “The unique opportunity to enjoy yoga with the sweet, gentle, adorable horses gives the participants smiles, giggles, and relaxation. What more could you want out of a wellness experience?”

The nonprofit’s second-annual Jordan Matthew Young will take place in the horse pasture on July 20, from 7-10 p.m. 

Owner Sonya Richins told TownLift, “Our favorite event of the year is 10 days away. If you believe that wild ain’t for tamin’, we invite you to join us for our annual benefit concert, an unforgettable evening under the stars at Wild Heart Sanctuary.”

“We are thrilled to have the incredibly talented, top finalist from season 20 of the popular television show, The Voice, headlining once again,” Richins said. “From gritty soul and blues to honky tonk and Americana, Jordan spans a wide variety of American roots genres. Due to popular requests, he will be returning and performing in the effort to raise funds for the rescued mustangs that comprise our Wild Heart Herd. Pack your lawn chairs, blankets and picnic favorites and come on over for a grand ‘ol time for a good cause. Spread the word and come and hang with the Wild Heart Tribe, Jordan Matthew Young, and our Majestic Mustangs.”

Wild Heart Sanctuary is the forever home to nine majestic mustangs rescued from BLM holding pens in the West Deserts: Wind Walker, Noble Moon, Kokopelli, Durango, Vashti, and the Onaqui mares, Giraffe, Grace, Miss Bliss, and Leilani.
