Local photographer to host exhibit at Trove Gallery
PARK CITY, Utah—Steven de Laet, a part-time Parkite, is a skilled street and travel photographer and a remarkable globe-trotter. His lens has encapsulated captivating images from many corners of the world.
Notably, de Leat’s photographic contributions to the Olympia Tree Restoration Project in Olympia, Greece, played a pivotal role in the successful replanting of 135,000 olive trees that had been devastated by a fire. His incredible efforts have left an indelible mark on both the landscape and the hearts of those who witness his work.
“My wife Dianne, also one with a passion for travel, asked me what my overriding thoughts are about the places we have been,” de Leat said. “To me, the answer is simple; although humanity is so wonderfully diverse, so much of what we live for and value is the same all over the world. We want health and safety for our families, our societies to thrive, to practice our religions, and to live in peace.”
See de Leat’s work on display July 22 at the Trove Gallery at 804 Main Street, Park City.
