Alpine Distilling barrel-aged gin shines in new Ritual Chocolate collab

PARK CITY, Utah — Local chocolatiers Ritual Chocolate teamed up with fellow local business, award-winning Alpine Distilling, on a brand-new dark chocolate bar, the Gin Juniper Lavender Chocolate.

“The process was joyful,” said Scott McLean, Ritual Chocolate sales manager. “We already had a beautiful Juniper Lavender Chocolate crafted with fragrant juniper berries, locally sourced lavender, organic sugar, and our signature blend of equitable, sustainable, delectable cocoa beans and Alpine Distilling had already crafted the most delicious barrel-aged gin in the world. Together, we had the best ingredients anyone could ever hope to find in a Gin Juniper Lavender Cocktail! So when we all met each other—we knew we had the makings of a potentially heavenly match! Of course, we didn’t really know how it was going to taste, we’d have to wait six months for all of the ingredients to age in Alpine Distilling’s gin barrels. But what entrance into heaven doesn’t require a little faith?”

Description: Welcome to our long-awaited collaboration with Park City local Alpine Distilling & Ritual Chocolate. It is always a special experience to work with one of our neighbors here in Utah, and this collaboration was one of the best we’ve done.

This exclusive limited edition bar is made from Ritutal’s Mid Mountain Blend of cacao, juniper berries, lavender, and Alpine’s award-winning gin. To create the perfect fusion of these high-quality ingredients we age them all together. The process takes place in an Alpine gin barrel over the course of six months to ensure we are able to bring out every bit of delicate botanical notes locked within. The result is a sophisticated flavor profile with the depth and complexity gin is known for.

The only regret we have with this bar is that we didn’t make more of it. Whether you’re a gin lover, a chocolate connoisseur, or both, our gin barrel-aged chocolate bar is sure to impress.
