UDOT traffic cams capture mudslide in Little Cottonwood Canyon

LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah — Utah Department of Transportation traffic cameras captured a mudslide as it blocked off SR 210 in Little Cottonwood Canyon Tuesday afternoon.

“Sliding into spring like… a mudslide in Little Cottonwood Canyon near Seven Turns was caught on camera,” UDOT said in a Facebook post. “Fortunately, our crews closed the canyon early this morning for the potential of slides hitting the road.”

The mudslide was projected to be four feet deep and 100 feet wide. SR 210 is still closed currently as crews work to clean up the debris, and has no estimated opening time.
