Severe thunderstorm warning issued, hail could reach quarter-size
UTAH — The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Salt Lake City, Millcreek, and West Valley City.
The included area does extend into Summit County along I-80. Winds up to 50 mph are likely, and hail has already been confirmed in some areas and could reach quarter size.
According to the NWS forecast, Park City has a 90% chance of snow showers. Two to four inches of snow during the daytime hours are possible, with another inch possible overnight. In total, snow accumulation in the Wasatch could reach as much as a foot in places.
