UPDATED: All clear after roof collapse on Park Avenue

Update: 4:00 pm. After a search, No one was found in the home. Firefighters have now cleared the scene.

PARK CITY, Utah — Heavy snow and ice caused structure collapses at three separate homes today.

According to a statement from the Park City Fire District, a garage collapsed on Gorgoza Drive, a chimney collapsed on Norfolk Avenue, and a roof collapsed on Park Avenue.

Currently, firefighters are shoring the structure on Park Avenue to make entry for a search of the home. The road is closed at this time, and the PCFD has asked that residents please avoid the area if possible.

No injuries were reported at the Gorgoza Drive or Norfolk Avenue locations. The PCFD has encouraged residents to look around their homes for snow and ice buildup.

“Please be aware of roof avalanches. Don’t take chances, keep your home and surroundings safe by clearing away the snow and ice accumulation.” said Chief Pete Emery with the PCFD.
