South Summit High School student selected for prestigious George Mason University summit

KAMAS, Utah — South Summit High School student Braxten Blazzard has been selected to serve as a delegate at the 2023 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University.

Blazzard will represent Peoa, Utah, and join 99 other students from across the country for a week of intensive study of leadership in environmental science and conservation.

Blazzard was chosen for this role based on his history of academic achievement, as well as his demonstrated interest and leadership in both environmental science and conservation.

“I am excited and thankful to receive this opportunity to attend WYSE this summer,” Blazzard said. “I’m hoping to make a difference by being able to take my small-town thoughts to a national level. I appreciate everyone who has helped get me there.”
