HEBER CITY, Utah — An awning at Wing Pointe Apartments in Heber collapsed yesterday afternoon due to heavy snow fall, trapping 6 vehicles in the process.
According to a statement from the Heber City Police Department, no one was inside the vehicles at the time of the incident. Officers responded to the scene at around 2:30 p.m., and by that time the sixth vehicle had been removed.
“No injuries were reported. The awning was not attached to the apartment structure and no damage to the building was reported,” said a statement from the Heber City Police Department. “Officers remained on scene until the dispatched tow company could remove the damaged vehicles.”
