WASATCH COUNTY, Utah – Wasatch County Search and Rescue (SAR) responded to an alert generated by a Garmin Inreach Personal Locator around 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4.
The SOS alert originated just south of Current Creek Peak, in a very remote region of Wasatch County. The SOS indicated a severely injured snowmobiler. Wasatch County SAR, Wasatch Fire, and Intermountain Life Flight were dispatched to the area to assist.
A 21-year-old male was injured in a snowmobile crash. The injuries required extraction by medical helicopter. First responders were able to extract the patient via Life Flight helicopter and then successfully transport him to the hospital.
